Dear Friend of Saint Andrew Academy,
The namesake of our great school, Saint Andrew, feast day is celebrated on November 30. Like his brother, St. Peter the Apostle, St. Andrew gave up his fisherman trade to follow the call of Jesus. By committing their lives to Jesus’s teachings, St. Andrew and St. Peter helped others become disciples of Jesus. Continuing the tradition of discipleship, Saint Andrew Academy’s mission is to assure the education of the whole child in a school where faith and friends grow together. In order to achieve this mission, it is our consistent vision to maintain the following:
*A program of academic excellence in which each child will achieve their highest potential.
*A school which provides a strong foundation in Catholic values and beliefs that permeate all areas of the curriculum.
*A school filled with professional, dedicated staff who foster the growth of each child.
*A school which provides various avenues that will enhance student knowledge and support students’ future endeavors.
*A school which motivates students to be lifelong learners and become productive members of society.
*An education climate that fosters a spirit of acceptance and care for every child.
*A school which reaches out to the community through service and special projects.
To make our vision possible, we invite you to take part in our Annual Fund. The campaign is held once during each academic year to allow families, grandparents, faculty, alumni, friends and parishioners an opportunity to invest in our school’s future.
Each year, the school applies the Annual Fund monies to the area(s) of greatest need within Saint Andrew Academy. The focus for the 2011 - 2012 Annual Fund is Making the Mission A Living Vision, where as a donor and friend to Saint Andrew Academy, you can choose to designate your gift for a specific area of need including: Operating budget, Tuition aid, and Technology.
All Annual Fund proceeds remain in the school, and evidence of previous annual fund campaigns has been the result of the hard work of our entire school family allowing Saint Andrew to
•provide tuition assistance to families who wish to give the gift of Catholic education.
•maintain a reasonable tuition fee to all who wish to give the gift of Catholic education.
•maintain a foreign language program in Spanish for all students.
•place SMART Boards in the classrooms.
•provide a wireless atmosphere for learning.
•update the school facilities.
Please join our school family in praying for a successful Annual Fund. Last year we raised $3,615. Our goal for the 2011-2012 school year is $7,500.00. Please prayerfully consider making an Annual Fund gift to help us remain as disciples of Jesus committed to His teachings like our namesake Saint Andrew and his brother St. Peter.
